NIPCO Gas Commissioned Nigeria’s First Mobile Refueling Unit at Kubwa, Abuja
NIPCO Gas Limited has set a new benchmark in Nigeria’s transportation sector by commissioning the nation’s first Mobile Refueling Unit (MRU) dedicated to dispensing Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Strategically located at Kubwa, Abuja, this novel initiative underscores NIPCO Gas’s commitment to providing economical, sustainable, and environmentally friendly fuel solutions.
Backed by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), this project aligns seamlessly with the Presidential CNG Initiative (Pi-CNG), a nationwide strategy to promote CNG as a cleaner and more affordable alternative fuel.
The newly launched MRU is designed to ensure desired pressure and to cater to a wide range of vehicles, from private cars to public transport vehicles, delivering cleaner energy at lower costs. This innovation not only reflects a significant advancement in Nigeria’s energy landscape but also reinforces the country’s commitment to environmental sustainability and energy affordability.
